My DP World Tour Championship thoughts

Rory, Brandon, Poulter, Westwood are all the frame

What a season it has been, with major winners, The Ryder Cup and the real rise and confirmation this year that we have a new world number one who could stay there for a very long time to come!

Rory Mcilroy has already claimed both the US PGA Tour and The European Tour Money lists for the 2012 season and if this wasn’t enough he has signed with Nike in a lucrative deal reportedly worth around $250 million dollars over the next 10 years and that’s without the bonuses when he continues to win major championships. It has certainly been Rory’s year although there has certainly been a number of breakthrough players on the European Tour stage as well.

Branden Grace is certainly a name to watch out for in the coming years. The young South African has won 4 times on tour this year, a number higher than any other player. He currently sits in 6th position on the Race to Dubai rankings and come the end of the week at JGE this could be a whole lot higher.

The week will certainly be exciting with the likes of Ian Poulter, Lee Westwood and Martin Kaymer all showing recent form. Will we see a European winner from our talented pack of players or will the unstoppable Mcilroy turn up and put on a parade, I for sure cannot wait!
