Morrow and Evans Marvel in Mashreq Medal at the Emirates Golf Club

In the first of two Medals to host both members from Emirates Golf Club and Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club.

It was Dubai Creek member Patrick Morrow and Emirates Golf Club member Tim Evans who had the best scores of the day. Patrick Morrow (DCGYC) carded a fine 2 under par 70 around the Majlis course to take both the A division (Hcp 0-14) and also the overall best net prize of the day. His 70 was matched by no less than 7 other players and card playoffs were the order of the day and it took a net inward half of 32 for Patrick to shine through!

The runner up spot in the A division was secured by Emirates Golf Club Member Vipen Sethi with also a 70. His net inward half of 33 was 1 clear of third spot which was taken by Stephen Jones (EGC).
It was Tim Evans of Emirates Golf Club having shot a fabulous level par 72 who took the best gross prize.

In the B Division (Hcp 16-34) it was a 123 for Dubai Creek members.  Kuttan Malattiri and Thakur Tolani both equaled the best of the day 70 but it was Kuttan who took the Division winners spot and Thakur the runner up spot. The third place spot went to Shaun Owens with a net 73.
In the Ladies division, past Emirates Golf Club lady Captain Caroline Jones triumphed with a lovely 1 under par 71. The Best Gross prize went to the talented Kavita Sehmi (EGC) who scored a nice 75.
Included in the medal event was a junior division. It was Aashaka Desai (DCGYC) who equaled the days best of 70. The Best gross prize was won by Dhruv Nair (DCGYC)

Mashreq Bank is the title sponsor for the 2013 Monthly Medals Series that will be held across both Emirates Golf Club and Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club. BMW, long standing supporter of the Monthly Medals at both clubs is continuing its association with this prestigious series. Harvey Nichols Dubai came on board from 1st May to support the series in the form of vouchers for their stores.

Over a 12 month period there will be a total of 22 monthly medals across the two Dubai Golf managed clubs. During the months of July and August there will also be joint medals where by Dubai Creek members compete against Emirates members and vice versa. Both clubs will run separate order-of-merits and the top 36 players in both order-of-merits will win a place in the grand final.
