Mohammed Darwish Wins Last National Monthly Medal of 2018

Salim Al Maazmi Wins Junior Division to cap off a great year

On December 27th 2018, the Emirates Golf Federation (EGF) hosted the December National Monthly Medal at Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting & Golf Club. Over 45 United Arab Emirates (UAE) national golfers gathered to compete in the last National Monthly Medal of 2018. At this month’s event, there were three different divisions, a Par 3 Division, a Juniors Division, and Main Event Division.

Winning his first National Monthly Medal of the season was Mohammed Darwish. Playing off a 9 handicap Mohammed had a fantastic round of golf collecting a total of 41 Stableford Points.

Finishing as the Runner-Up for the event was Akram Skaik with 38 points and coming in Third Place was Yousuf Al Ali with a total of 37 Stableford Points.

National Team member, Khalid Yousuf collected the Best Gross prize by shooting a 70, even par.

Awards were also given based on handicap with an A-Division (0-14 handicap) and B-Division (14-24 handicap) winners. Winning the A-Division Prize was Rashid Al Emadi with 36 Stableford Points. Alia Al Emadi won the Division-B prize with 35 Stableford Points.

In the Junior Division, the EGF had 12 juniors compete for the top three spots. Coming in first place was Salim Al Maazmi with 47 points. Finishing in Second Place was Rashid Al Jassmey with 46 points and rounding off the top-three was Rayyan Al Maazmi with 40 points.

During the event, the EGF hosted 9 members of the National Foundation Squad on the Academy Course. The winner of the Par 3 Division was Sultan Al Owais with a 34 gross score.

The Runner-up for the Par 3 Division was Al Adel with a 37 gross score and Zayed Adel finished in Third Place with a 38 gross score.

The event also had two “On Course Challenges” up for grabs. Taking home the Longest Drive Award was Reema Al Heloo. Winning the Nearest to the Pin Award was Hamda Al Suwaidi.
