Mills & Engelhardt crowned Ramadan Golf Challenge Champions at Arabian Ranches

John Mills (0) and Michael Engelhardt (13) won the respective gross and net titles in the 7th Khaleej Times Ramadan Golf Challenge supported by TNT held Saturday, 28th August at Arabian Ranches Golf Club.

Mills scored a solid 74 gross starting on hole 1 in this 18 hole Strokeplay tournament played from the 6694 yards par 72 set up course.
Highlights included birdies at holes 2, 8, 15, 17 and 18 with nines of 38 and 36.  Mills took the Gold Medal from runner-up Hein Heyster (1) ARGC who managed 3 gross birdies on the card but dropped shots on five holes including one double bogey losing by 1 shot to Mills.  Others of note in the Gross Division included Steve Bennett (2) and Doug McLennan (5) both with 77.

In the Net Division Michael Engelhardt (13) scored 69 to take the title on a count back from Ed McDonald (9) who matched the winning score.  Engelhardt & McDonald played brilliant golf however it was the stronger back nine that clinched the victory for Engelhardt. The Champion had nines of 40 and 42 for a gross 82 net 69.
