Geoff Hunter, JGE General Manager, said at the results announcement, ‘We hope all competitors enjoyed the experience of playing from the championship tees. It does put it into perspective that with this course set up Lee Westwood got round in just 64 blows in 1999. Congratulations go to Miki today – we have witnessed something a bit special with his 73 – it will take some beating! We thank BMW AGMC for their continued support of our activities at Jumeirah Golf Estates and to our friends at The European Tour for donating a Pro-am place for the Dubai World Championship Pro-am won by Miki. Owing to the success and interest in this event we will plan to do some more events of this type before the end of the summer in conjunction with The European Tour and the 2011 Dubai World Championship to take place on Earth course Thursday 8th – Sunday 11th December, 2011.’
