Mi4Tuxedos Golf Society Summer stableford competition

The Mi4Tuxedos Golf Society –  which formed last year in Dubai during the making of the Tom Cruise film “Mission Impossible 4” – took to the fairways of Sharjah Golf and shooting club during May ( last week ) to hold their pre Summer  stableford competition over 18 holes of the Peter Harradine designed course.

Open to both men and Ladies the mixed field took to the course in very colourful outfits including mandatory ‘bow ties’ – the trademark of the Society. Although invited Tom Cruise was unable to play due to filming commitments for the Mi4 movie

The unusually hot weather took its toll on the golfers with the highest score being only 38 points in the Men’s division, scored by ERNIE BARRATT playing off a 14 handicap, 2nd place playing off handicap 9 was DREW STEEDMAN with 37 points:  and  3rd with 33points off a 6 handicap was DAVID BARLOW

The Ladies division was won by the newly married NICOLA CHITTENDEN who scored 32 points off a 22 handicap, 2nd with 30 points was ANNIE MARRIOTT playing off 24 handicap.
All players received prizes from Sporte Leisure Trading in Dubai and the whole event was supported by Expand-a-Sign, UAE

Commenting on the day, whilst wearing his neatly pressed Tuxedo, broadcaster and event organizer PJ Marriott thanked all the participants and supporters for making it such a memorable day, and particularly thanked the players for turning out on what was the hottest day of the year so far !!
