McKelvey, Ward, Sherman & Pateria take Marble Renewal & Speed Cleaning Team Event

The four-player team consisting of Adele McKelvey (5), Rebecca Ward (25), Rob Sherman (16) and Amit Pateria (13) returned a score of 102 Stableford points to win the Marble Renewal & Speed Cleaning “Shambles” Team event, held Friday, 8th October at Arabian Ranches Golf Club. A field of 88 players competed in this popular format.

At Arabian Ranches Golf Club the format was all four players tee off the best-positioned tee shot selected and all four players play their own ball from the selected tee shot until the hole is completed. On the Par 3’s each competitor played his or her own ball from tee to green. The best two Stableford scores from the team of four counted towards the team total. Players used their index as the Tournament handicap allowance to be taken at the appropriate stroke index holes. Competitors had to contribute three tee shots towards the scorecard.

The winning team combined brilliantly and managed their game well with great tee shots to set themselves up for a low scoring round. They scored 5 or more points on 15 of the 18 holes on their way to posting the winning total. McKelvey & co had an outward half of 55 and an inward half of 47 for a total of 102 points to win by six from runners up Tony Stroud, Shabir Yakub, Mike Talbot & Graham Tickell.

Graham Alban & Terry Vaughan of Marble Renewal & Speed Cleaning commented “Congratulations to all the worthy winners, Marble & Speed look forward to host their next event in November.
