Mcilroy charge fails to materialise in the final round of the 25th Omega Dubai Desert Classic

After a superb opening day round of 63, -9, Rory Mcilroy struggled to deliver a knockout round to clinch the 25th Omega Dubai Desert Classic. Most people thought it was going to be a routine few days after his opening salvo in round one, but after day 2 and noises that he was suffering from a bug, this never materialised.

Finishing the last round with a +2, 74, Mcilroy just could not make things happen when he still in contention through most of the round. After his round he was understandably frustrated and we caught a few words with the media at the back of the 18th.
