Match day 12 to take pace tomorrow in league B of the UAE Invitational Scratch Golf League

Match Day 12 of the 2011 – 2012 Invitational Scratch Golf League will be played today (Saturday) at Tower Links Golf Club, Ras al Khaimah where the Tower Links/ Al Hamra team host League B current leaders Arabian Ranches Golf Club.

Arabian Ranches Golf Club, playing their final fixture in the round robin matches, require at least a draw to guarantee their place in the semi-finals. Even if they lose there is still the chance of them advancing – all depending on the final fixture to be played on Saturday March 3rd when the current third placed team in League B Sharjah Wanderers / Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club play host to Tower Links / Al Hamra Ras al Khaimah to complete the League B fixtures.
If Arabian Ranches are successful they will play the winners of League A – currently lead by defending League champions Emirates Golf Club.

The points system for the Invitational Scratch Golf League is 2 points for the winning team win plus a point for every winning match. An overall halved match results in 1 point per team with match points added ie a 2 – 2 halved result is 3 points a side.

Edoardo Gellapini (ARGC) and Iain Lachlan (ARGC) will continue their strong partnership in the third pairing having won their previous 3 matches to date and currently both stand at the top of the individual league standings.
