Lim and Friedmann winners 2 months running

The Al Ghazal Golf Club held their March Monthly Medal last Friday under perfect conditions, however, the scores reflected a more difficult day for most.  Once again S.J. Lim carded the best Division 1 score of the day with a nett 71, runner up to S.J. was Mike Massie on 72. Division 2 also produced the same winner as February’s Medal with an equally good score of 71 was Jan P Friedmann from runner up Eddie Brown on 73.  3rd Division winner with a score of 76 was Stan Mirossay from runner up Abdul Rahman Al Lagit on 79.  The CSS for the men’s event was 72.

The Ladies overall winner by three shots was back in form Anina Bester from lady Captain Pauline Jeynes on 75.  The ladies CSS was 74.  After this medal round the International Paints Ladies Golfer of the Year points stand at Alena on 77, from Sharon Yang on 46 and Chaya Kinder on 39.

The Men’s International Paints Golfer of the Year continues to see Mark Hayman still pulling away from the rest of the field on 100, from S.J. Lim on 83 leap froging H.J. Lee on 73 and Nam young Baek also on 73 points.  There are only two more GOY events to go with the AGGC Club Championships sponsored by Super Sign at the end of the month and the final April Monthly Medal.

Next week’s event will be the 37th National Bank of Abu Dhabi Men’s Open with an expected full field.
