Lawson & Tickell claim Titles in the Gulf News Men’s Seniors Open

Ivan Lawson (EGF – +1) and Graham Tickell (ARGC – 16) respectively claimed the Gross and Net Titles in the 2010 Gulf News Men’s Seniors Open played at Arabian Ranches Golf Club on Saturday, 27th November.

This tournament was an individual stroke play event for male amateur golfers in the UAE, aged 50 years or over on the day of the event and was supported by Callaway Golf.

Lawson’s card was impressive, a consistent outward and inward score of one over par 37 with 14 pars and 3 bogeys with a birdie on 6th hole to finish two over par 74 edging out David Ashcroft by 6 shots.

Tickell’s card bearing one 7 and one 9 on the front nine also included 7 gross pars and a gross eagle at the long par 5 sixteenth hole, for Tickell it was a game of two nines a front nine of 50 and a back nine of one over par 37 for a gross 87 net 71 edging out Jett Smith by  virtue of a count back.

Naureen of Gulf News & Elliott Gray of Arabian Ranches Golf Club presented the prizes to the top 4 Gross and Net winners.
