Ladies interclub challenge result at the Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club

Dubai Creek welcomed 40 players from Yas Links, Sharjah Golf & Shooting Club, Abu Dhabi City Golf Club and host club Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club to the Ladies Interclub Challenge.

The first of four matches played between the Ladies 10 best players from each club in an individual stableford format with the best eight from 10 team scores counting.

Home advantage proved to be decisive with the ladies from Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club, captained by Mrs Maureen Platt, leading the team to a score of 274  in front of Yas Links back on 247 points. Third place was Abu Dhabi City Golf Clubs ladies on 228 with Sharjah Golf & Shooting Club 12 points back on a team score of 216.

Commenting on the day Platt said, “It was lovely to see all the ladies having so much fun today and our thanks and appreciation goes to all Lady Captains and their teams. I’d also like to thank all staff at Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club for what has yet again been another amazing day”

As well as team scores there were individual prizes on the day which went to Yas Links’ Stephanie Wilson for a great personal score of 42 points beating Harini White and Mego Hann by 3 points to take first place.

On course prizes went to Sharron Hall and Harrini White for their efforts at the closest the pin par 3 holes where as Nayema Maya and Christine Khan picked up longest and straightest drives.
