Ladies Christmas Stroke Play at Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club

The Ladies Christmas stroke play and Christmas party took place today at Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club.   The ladies were very much in the festive spirit and even Santa Claus himself made a special appearance.

Lady Captain Mego Han started her festive season with a fantastic net 69 to take 1st place over Yumiko Inoue on a 9 hole count-back. After being presented her prize Han commented; “I am very happy to win today and this win is a great way to start my Christmas holiday.  I would like to thank all of the ladies for participating today and I would also like to say a big thank you to all of the staff at the Creek for their hard work throughout the year with all of our ladies events”.  Merry Christmas and a Happy New year to all”.  With Inoue taking runner up spot it was Nadia Matveeva who claimed 3rd place with a solid net 71.

Chikako Inoue took the prize for longest drive with a fantastic shot on the 12th hole whilst Laura Pagella followed suit with a great shot on the 4th hole to take longest drive there.  G.A Cho put it close on the par 3 5th hole to take nearest the pin and Paula Savage took the same prize on the 16th and made a birdie to go with it.

After conducting the prize giving Dubai Creek Professional Craig Waddell commented; “I think the ladies really had fun today and all were in the holiday spirit of things! Congratulations to all who took part and thanks again to all ladies who made 2012 a highly successful year here at the creek. Our ladies are a lovely group of women and next year we look to improve things even more with some additional tournaments. We are also excited about involving ladies from our weekday coffee morning classes into some competitive golf into 2013.”
