Kraemer wins Final MMI Open Stableford at Al Hamra
This month saw the final event in the popular MMI sponsored Open Challenge Series. The final event was well supported with players battling to take one of the top 3 places alongside the various special event prizes on offer.
This month again saw a very close leaderboard with Byron Kraemer just clinching the event with 38 points, closely followed by David Thomas on 37 points and in form Dave Martin clinched 3rd spot on 36 points after a card play-off. The special event prizes, sponsored by the MMI Al Hamra Cellar, were for nearest the pin on each of the tricky par 3 holes.
The four players who held their nerve and produced the required winning shot were – 4th hole Byron Kraemer, 7th hole Sarah De Roose, 11th hole Pat Mottershead, and 15th hole Mark Farley. This was the last event in the MMI sponsored series for the season, which proved to be very well supported and wouldn’t have been a success without the excellent support of MMI Al Hamra Cellar and all the competitors.
