GOLF CITIZEN UAE Series News

Kim shines as Golf Citizen UAE Series reaches it’s climax on Monday

Richard Kim carded 39 points to win the GOLF CITIZEN UAE Series qualifier held at Al Badia Golf Club on Friday as the series reaches its climax on Monday, December 2, when the Grand Final, featuring an exclusive field of 24 players, is played at Emirates Golf Club’s Faldo course.

Playing off a 10 handicap, Kim reeled off 11 gross pars in his consistent round to beat his nearest challenger Chet Riley by two points with Ornella Parigi settling for a creditable third with 36 points.

The top six players from Al Badia qualifier, including Colin Cordery (35) and Michelle Hilbert (34), made it to the final to complete the line-up for the Grand Final.

The top three players from the final, which coincides with UAE National Day, will receive invitations to play alongside a leading professional in the 2013 Omega Dubai Ladies Masters Pro Am at Emirates Golf Club on December 3 as well as a VIP Hospitality package at the season-ending Ladies European Tour event.

In addition, the top three will also be handed VIP hospitality invitations to the landmark 25th anniversary edition of the Omega Dubai Desert Classic, which will feature world number one Tiger Woods, Europe’s newly-crowned champion Henrik Stenson and Northern Ireland’s golfing sensation Rory McIlroy and other past champions, in a tournament that will probably boast the best field in a regular European Tour event in 2014.

GOLF CITIZEN members also qualify to receive a 25 per cent discount tickets for the 2014 Omega Dubai Desert Classic to be held at Emirates Golf Club from January 27 to February 2, 2014.
The series was aimed at encouraging golf enthusiasts to become members of GOLF CITIZEN which boasts many major courses in the UAE, Thailand and Vietnam on its growing portfolio.

Golfers from any part of the world can register for free as a ‘GOLF CITIZEN’, enabling them to book rounds at courses of their choice.

“Since the launch of GOLF CITIZEN in 2011, it has steadily grown in popularity with many new courses joining its network.
