Kiew-Smith and Maxwell are Creek pairs champions
Dubai Creek Pairs: Claiming the first prize this month was Dominic Kiew-Smith and Scott Maxwell with an amazing score of 46 points
The Creek Pairs took place at Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club yesterday; this event was a Pairs Betterball Stableford competition of which the top 3 pairs qualified to win a prize as well as two on course prizes being up for grabs. The course was presented in immaculate condition with a full field of over 45 pairs battling it out to be titled the Champion. Scoring was excellent with the players taking advantage of the calm conditions and cooler temperatures.
Claiming the first prize this month was Dominic Kiew-Smith and Scott Maxwell with an amazing score of 46 points. Their score included a front nine of 23 points where they recorded 4 net birdies! The pair dovetailed well to ensure there were no mistakes on their card leading to a four point victory over the nearest pair. Second prize was won by the team of Janet Kim and her daughter Hyeonji Kang who finsihed with 42 points which included four gross birdies between the pair!
As well as the top two prizes there were four on course prizes allowing the rest of the competitors to still have a chance to win a prize on the day. The nearest the pin prizes on the 5th, 8th, 14th and 16th holes were won by Swati Singh, Joy Lirio, Dave Gownas and Hannah Alan respectively.
After the prize presentation, Dubai Creek’s Golf Services Manager, Michael Major commented; “A huge thank you to you all for attending today’s event, your continued support is amazing, congratulations to all the winners!”
