Keith Harrison wins september Yas Links Etihad Open Stableford
Yas Links, Abu Dhabi welcomed a generous mix of members and guests to beat the heat for the 7:30am Etihad Open Stableford shotgun start on Friday, 12th September 2014. All were ready to compete for bragging rights and air miles at the renowned competition. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will receive air miles in denominations of 25,000, 15,000 and 10,000 respective of their standing in both division categories based on their handicap. After the tournament entrants joined in Hickory’s restaurant to hear the results of the competition.
The day’s competition was especially hot and humid, which unfortunately caused a few contenders to not complete their round. Those that finished had very close scores, especially on the leaderboard. Division A Category (Handicap 0-14) top prize winner was Keith Harrison who finished the day with an impressive 37 points. Second place was awarded to Craig Bruce who scored 35 points, which put Thomas Kunt in 3rd place as he finished with a notable 33 points.
The Division B (handicap 15-36) category top spot winner was Stephanie Wilson who finished the day with a fantastic score of 37 points. Neil Morgan narrowly finished in 2nd place with 36 points after a better back 6, just edging out Ying Hoong Fun in 3rd Place also on 36 points.
