Katrin Wilke wins the August’s Rivoli Member’s Monthly Medal at Jumeirah Golf Estates

August’s Rivoli Member’s Monthly Medal was widely contested, in all Divisions. Katrin Wilke laid claim to 1st place in the Ladies Division; the Men’s Division B was dominated by a low shooting David Green; and the ever consistent Craig Forrest stole top spot in Division A.

Katrin Wilke ran away from the field by playing sensible golf, her 2-over par, nett 74, secured a 6 shot winning margin over her nearest competitor Glenys Hughes.

David Green has asked to play off the championship tees in the next medal, after he made it look easy off the signature tees by cruising to victory in Division B, with a nett 66. Brendan O’Connor’s nett 73 put him in second place on his own, while Seamus Clune tip-toed into third, after a scorecard playoff, with a nett 74.

Scratch golfer Craig Forrest fought off the rest of Division A with a 1-over gross score of 73, to boast a nett of the same number, ascending to take 1st nett. The ever consistent Jehanzeb Awan claimed second spot after successfully gaining the upper hand in a scorecard playoff with a nett 74. While David Haswell, with a gross 79 secured the best gross award.
