Jumeirah English Speaking School Continues To Lead The Dubai Schools League
The Dubai Schools League hosted the second round of the 2014 – 2015 season on December 8, 2014. 60 students from 11 different Dubai Schools gathered at The Track – Meydan to play a nine-hole competition. Continuing to lead the Team Stableford Leaderboard is Jumeirah English Speaking School (JESS) with a team score of 144 points. JESS received 71 Team Stableford points in the second round. Moving up two spots on Team Stableford Leaderboard and in second place is Dubai College (DC). DC has a total of 134 Team Stableford points.
Gaining three spots on the Team Stableford Leaderboard and in third place is Jumeirah College (JC). After scoring 61 Team Stableford points in round one, JC had 65 points in round two for a total of 126 points.
Besides the Team Stableford Leaderboard, individual players were playing in two other categories, the Best Gross Score and the Best Stableford Score.
Winning the Best Gross Score category for the second round was James from JESS by shooting a 36. Coming in second place was Matt L. from DC with a 37. The third place winner for the Best Gross Score was Anatastia from Dubai American Academy (DAA) with a 38.
In the Best Stableford Score category, Sacha S. from Gems World Academy (GWA) came in first place with a score of 22. Matt L. from DC came in second place with a score of 21. Rounding out the Best Stableford Score category coming in third place was James from DAA with a score of 19.
The Dubai Schools League supported by the Emirates Golf Federation (EGF) gives students and junior golfers the opportunity to play in a competitive atmosphere while growing sportsmanship and learning the fundamentals of golf.
The Dubai Schools League will be back in action on February 9, 2015. The first tee-time starts at 4:00PM. The Track – Meydan is the official home of the Dubai Schools League.
