Judge Impresses over Majlis in BMW Medal at Emirates Golf Club
Aditya Judge carded a gross 76 in the March edition of the BMW monthly medal to win best gross of the day.
With the Dubai winter seemingly already in the past Judge produced a superb performance in high temperatures. Commencing his round from the difficult 9th hole he started with a dropped shot but picked up birdies on the 13th, 14th and 18th holes but gave two back on the 15th and 16th completing his opening 10 holes in level par. He remained even for the tournament with three holes to go but a double bogey, bogey, bogey finish resulted in a 4-over par total.
Jeremy Coles triumphed in Division A (handicap 0-12) with a level par 72, the highlight of his round was a birdie 3 at the 440-yard 9th hole. On the same score was Andrew Robinson but he had to settle for runners-up position following a card count back. Sheikh Imran Qayyum took third following his 73.
Glyn Sowerby signed for the best net of the day, a 69, including a birdie two on the short 15th hole. This gave him a one shot victory in Division B over Robert Curtis with Rabih Sfeila in third with a 71.
