Job Well Done for Mirza at the Al Badia Golf Club

An elite field of players, attended by both members and guests of Al Badia Golf Club challenged themselves for another competitive round during the Black Tee Challenge on June 19, 2010.

Confident individuals made impressive marks in A and B Divisions. In A Division, Liam Crotty’s solid round of pars in most holes and a birdie on hole 11 were enough for him to claim the first place spot, finishing with nett 68. He has a close battle with Imran Zaidi with only one point difference and settled at second place.

The Al Badia member, Greg Donaghy provided a solid performance, scoring gross 42 on both nines, securing his first place title in the B Division with a total nett 70. Jon Cimino and Rami Safadi scored nett 72 after a count back and settled in second and third place respectably.

An outstanding display of skill and strategy saw Miki Mirza claim the title of the 2010 Al Badia Black Tee Challenge Winner. Paul King settled as the second place gross winner with a score of 78, while Chris Wilmot took the third place spot with a score of 79.

Staking their claim in the on course competition were Douglas McLennan winning longest drive on hole 13 and Rami Safadi winning nearest the pin on hole 7.
