Impressive Mulvehill takes Japanese Constitution Title at the Abu Dhabi Golf Club

Abu Dhabi Golf Club welcomed back the Japanese Constitution Cup to the members schedule in association with Millennium Hotels. This year’s annual event was a fundraising event with all the proceeds raised on the day donated to the Japanese Tsunami Fund.

Winner of the Men’s A Division was Atique Daneshmend who defeated John Hartley on a back 9 play-off with a net 73.

The Low Gross winner on the day was Aart Lehmkuhl who posted a creditable 79 in testing playing conditions on the National Course.

In her final Major Tournament at Abu Dhabi Golf Club, before leaving the country Joan McGuiness took 1st place with a score of 75 and defeating Sheren Smith-Evans by one stroke who took second place with a score of 76.

The low score of the day and winner of the Men’s B Division went to James Mulvehill who posted an impressive score of 69. His performance gave him the title as the 2011 Japanese Constitution Cup Winner. James finished five shots ahead of his nearest rival Al Human who took second place in the Men’s B Division with a score of 74.

The competition was a great success and managed to raise AED 5,450. Abu Dhabi Golf Club would like to thank Millennium Hotels for the sponsorship and support to the event and also a special thank you to all the members who kindly donated to the Japanese Tsunami Fund.
