I have arrived at the KGA Bangalore India

Carolina continues her tour updates from Bangalore India

Hi Everybody,

Arrived Bangalore to cool 24 degrees and rain… how refreshing after 43 in Dubai and humidity. Played a practice round in the morning after being introduced to my new caddie who Phil arranged for me.

The course and weather were perfect with a slight breeze, cloud cover and occasional sunny spells.

The course is in excellent condition and the greens were very slick with plenty of break on them running at 10.3 on the Stimpmeter. The bunkers had the right amount of sand in them and of the right texture and the fairways have been grown in similar to the Majlis course before the Desert Classic with 2 cuts before the deep rough.

The grass here is a lot different than on Dubai Golf Courses. Bermuda is the order of the day in the UAE where at the KGA it is Ryegrass, which makes it almost as you could be in the UK…

Practicing on the Course

On the Course

The hospitality shown to me has been overwhelming and I feel very humbled at the welcome from all at KGA club and my fellow professionals I met up with.

I have some more practice rounds before the action begins on the 16th of August.
