Hoefer Last to R.I.P in the annual Tombstone Classic over Al Hamra’s Championship Course
Today saw the annual Tombstone Classic take place under cloudy and cool conditions over Al Hamra’s Championship Course.
This popular format saw a large field of competitors step onto the course, tombstone in hand, hoping to get as far round the course as possible before running out of shots.
The eventual winner and last person to lay their tombstone to rest was Otto Hoefer who managed to make it all the way round back to the 1st hole. Not far behind in second place was Steve Rayment who laid his tombstone to rest on completion of the 18th Hole.
Finishing a close third was Robert Craquelin who came to rest 6 inches from the 18th Pin. The prize for the Early Grave and making it the least way around the course was Jeff Hume who eventually laid his tombstone to rest on completion of the 13th Hole. The two Nearest the Pin prizes went to Byron Kraemer on the 7th Hole and Steve Rayment on the 11th Hole.
