Hermann wins close Harradine Cup at Al Hamra Golf Club

The annual Harradine cup took place on Friday 4th November and as usual the support for this event was excellent as a full field teed it up in an 8:30am Shotgun ready to take on the superb conditions of Al Hamra’s championship course.

Peter Harradine, who designed and built the Al Hamra course again kindly sponsored the event meaning there were some superb prizes on offer along with a delicious buffet to follow.  As scores began to come in it was apparent it was going to be extremely close as to who would take the top spot and be crowned Harradine Cup champion.

With a winning margin of just 1 point finishing on 39 points was Christine Hermann who seemed to relish in the individual stableford format with a solid scoring round. Second and third spot came down to a card play off as three people finished one back from the champion on 38 points but with the best back nine it was  Irene Lebkuencher who took the  second prize. Also finishing with 38 points but left to pick up third place was Al Hamra member Steve Rayment who couldn’t quite do enough to take the top spot.  The nearest the pin prizes went to Eric Engelbrecht on the 7th Hole and Rob Hoban on the 15th Hole.
