Hendry Goes Low in Emirates Golf Club Monthly Medal

The April edition of the BMW Rivoli Monthly medal produced some excellent scoring from the 87-strong field. Daniel Hendry lead the way with a best gross of 70, 2-under par.

The members found the Majlis course in excellent condition and Division A (handicap 0-10) saw three competitors card a net 70. Paul Byrne won following the card count back with Rohit Gupta second and David Richardson third.

Andrew Robinson signed for an excellent 5-under par 67 to take top spot in Division B (handicap 11-20), one clear of Sungku Kim and two clear of Tony Hutchinson in third. The best net of the day came from Umar Quereshi following his 65 in Division C (handicap 21-34).

An unusual incident occurred on the short par three 15th hole where following a wayward tee shot Micky Brigg decided to play a provisional ball, which he promptly holed. Unfortunately his playing partners found his first ball which meant he had to carry on the hole with that, in a state of shock he left the green with a 7!
