Haridas Nair Crowned 5th RAK Junior Open Champion at Al Hamra Golf Club

The 5th RAK Junior open took place on Saturday 17th November which saw a record number of the finest young UAE golfers battle it out over the Championship Course at Al Hamra. With an impressive field of talent the scoring was unbelievably low with a massive 24 competitors finishing with a score of par or better. The Gross Division saw Eoin Cunniffe pick up top spot after carding a solid level par round of 72 with nines of 39 and 33 to beat Innan Budhiraja and Ronan Hall in a 3 person play-off. Neither  Innan or Ronan could match Eoin’s awesome back nine and therefore had to settle for second and third respectively.

The Net Champion and therefore 5th RAK Junior Open Champion was Vijayesh Haridas Nair who carded an unbelievable 9 under par round of 63 with nines of 37 and 26 to win by one from Matthew Laven and Rishi Nair who both carded rounds of 64. Again the RAK Junior Open continues to grow and produce some fantastic results which we all hope will continue into next year and beyond.
