Hannah Cheryl Alan crowned the champion of the 'Junior Luckiest Ball on Earth Presented by Zurich' Grand Final

Hannah Cheryl Alan is set for a date with one of the top 50 players on the European Tour’s Race to Dubai at this year’s DP World Tour Championship Rolex Pro-Am after being crowned the champion of the ‘Junior Luckiest Ball on Earth Presented by Zurich’ Grand Final.

Some of the UAE’s finest junior golfers were invited to the Grand Final, which was held on the Fire course at Jumeirah Golf Estates on Saturday, 28 September, after securing their spots through the Emirates Golf Federation Order of Merit but it was 13 year old Alan who topped the overall leaderboard with her brilliant score of 41 Stableford points.

“I’m really excited to get the win at such a great event,” said Hannah Cheryl Alan. “This tournament gives young golfers a great opportunity to play with the stars on the Race to Dubai and to help improve their game against some of the best golfers in the country.

“I’m really looking forward to playing in the Pro-Am and I would like to thank DP World and Zurich for sponsoring the tournament as well as Jumeirah Golf Estates for hosting the Grand Final.”

The Rolex Pro-Am on Tuesday,19 November is the curtain raiser to the US$8 million DP World Tour Championship, a Rolex Series event, to be held on the iconic Earth course at Jumeirah Golf Estates from Thursday,21 November to Sunday,24 November. The hotly anticipated Rolex Pro-Am will be contested by 46 teams captained by European Tour professionals including the likes of Race to Dubai winner Francesco Molinari, Champion Golfer of the Year Shane Lowry and defending champion Danny Willett.

The ‘Junior Luckiest Ball on Earth Presented by Zurich’ Grand Final, sanctioned by the Emirates Golf Federation also saw 13 year oldEthan Anderson taking home top prize in the Boy’s Division with an impressive 40 points. Liang Wei Liu completed the winners on the day after securing the Girls Division with 38 Stableford points.

Alan will be joined in the ‘Luckiest Ball on Earth’ Pro-Am with the leading male and female player from the Luckiest Ball on Earth Grand final which takes place on Sunday, October 21 on the Fire course.
