Gowans triumphant with a round to remember at Dubai Creek Monthly Medal

David Gowans triumphed in the Dubai Creek BMW monthly medal on Saturday 2nd April. With the outside temperatures rising so did Gowans golf game with a superb display to card a gross 72, +1 over par and a net 67 to win by a clear two shots.

Gowans fired two birdies in the front nine and a flawless back nine of eight pars with a solitary birdie on the 15th hole finished off a round to remember to take home the BMW crystal.

Gowans at the same time claimed the division ‘A’ honors and Francisco Giles finished runner up with a great 69 by virtue of his better back nine from Patrick Morrow. Miki Mirza carried on the consistent form to win the overall gross prize with a level par round of 71. Division B spoils was decided on a count back with Mitesh Desai’s net 69 just coming out on top from Haridias Kondath’s net 69. The junior division was hotly contended with Jai Bhalla beating close rival Rayhan Thomas by one shot with a wonderful net 68.

The Titleist Order of Merit raffle witnessed Patrick Morrow take home a dozen NXT Golf balls. The Captain’s raffle with two special prizes went to the lucky winners Maureen Platt and Miki Mirza.
