The unveiling of the logo formally marked the beginning of the 25th anniversary celebrations of the tournament, which has earned the unique distinction of being the longest-running European Tour event in Asia and the MENA region.
Promoted and organized by golf in DUBAi, the 25th edition of the $2.5 million event will see past champions join a galaxy of super stars from around the world in what promises to be the best field ever assembled in this part of the world.

The ‘Champions Challenge,’ which will be held on Tuesday, January 28, will be followed by the traditional pro am the following day before the main competition gets underway.
“The series of activities planned on and off the course will help keep the atmosphere buzzing, giving the tournament the feel of a major” said Mohamed Juma Buamaim, vice chairman and CEO of golf in DUBAi, after revealing the new logo.
“Shortly, we will be announcing some of the big names in the world of golf to add to the excitement. The anniversary event presents us with an opportunity to thank everyone who has contributed to the success of an event since its inception in 1989.

“Many different things have made “25” distinctive, the foremost being the Omega Dubai Desert Classic’s role, however small, in positioning the city as an ideal golf destination. And that’s no mean achievement.”
