Golf Citizen Series 2014 Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club results

The Golf Citizen Series came to Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club this past weekend. This series consists of a number of qualifying events which are held at various clubs across the region.  The players compete in a Pairs Betterball Stableford format, and the top 3 pairings on the day would book their place in the Grand Final, which will be held at the Emirates Golf Club Faldo course in January 2015.

Ashok Sindhu and Suresh Shewakramani proved to be a formidable team as they produced a total of 45 stableford points to take top honours.  Securing the next slot in the final and finishing runners on the day up were the team of Giorgio Parigi and Matteo Roncaglia who managed a very respectable 40 points. Finishing in 3rd place and claiming the third and final qualifying spot with a team total of 36 points, was the duo of Stefan Magarotto and Paolo De Roia.

As well as the three Grand Final places there were also two Dubai Desert Classic season tickets up for grabs for the nearest the pin winners on the par 3 5th and 14th holes.  Claiming the first of these for her accurate shot into the 5th hole was Borgobello Ellida.  Ornella Parigi followed suit and was the winner for the same on the 14th.  
 After conducting the prize presentation, Dubai Creek’s Golf Experience Manager, Rashid Hamood commented; “I would like to firstly thank all of you for your participation today and I think I can safely say that everyone enjoyed it very much.  Congratulations to all of today’s winners and best of luck to the top 3 pairs for the final in January”.
