Georgia Hall wins a Mercedes Benz with a hole in one at the Omega Dubai Ladies Masters

England’s Georgia Hall produced the shot of the day when she aced the 167-yard par-3 15th hole using a 4-iron in the third round of the Omega Dubai Ladies Masters on the Majlis Course at Emirates Golf Club.

The 18-year-old from Bournemouth in Dorset won a gleaming Mercedes Benz C 200 for her accurate tee shot and will now have to buy herself some driving lessons as she can’t yet drive.

“I wasn’t playing that great before.  I did hit some really good shots, though, and I hit 4iron, I think it was 167 yards.  It was a perfect shot.  I couldn’t really see it because the sun was in my eyes but it was a great feeling,” said Hall, who turned professional in July and received an invitation to play in the Omega Dubai Ladies Masters.

“It was straight online, so I hoped it was going to roll in, and it did, so I’m happy. If I can drive that, that would be cool.”

This was Georgia’s second hole in one as she aced the 17th at Machynys Peninsula Golf Club in South Wales to win the 2013 Ladies British Open Amateur Championship.

It was also the second hole in one of the week, after Stacey Keating at the fourth in the first round. South African Connie Chen also made a hole in one at the 15th during the Omega Dubai Ladies Masters in 2013, for which she won a Mercedes Benz convertible.
