French Connection team winners at Al Ghazal Golf Club Hit n Giggle

The Hit N Giggle or ‘HNGS’ golf competitions are now in full swing at the Al Ghazal Golf Club. The event opener started by Pat and Emily Gordon at the beginning of June present the traditional WAD Trophy which is given each week to the team or individual with the most infringements!

The weekly Friday summer fun event is usually played in a shotgun Texas Scramble format over 9 holes.  Each team comprises three or four players of varying golfing standards; the idea is to encourage and help beginners and juniors as well as introduce new members to sand golf.  Non-members/guests are most welcome to join in.  Individual players sponsor the events with fun prizes of which there is a maximum limit placed as these events are mainly for FUN and social club get togethers during the summer!

This last weekend’s event was sponsored by The Three Musketeers namely Ken Ritzal, Rob Jennings and Stan Nikau.  Aside from the first and second prizes there were nearest the pins, longest drives and a special chipping contest between the 18th and 9th browns.
