Forrest wins november Rivoli medal at Jumeirah Golf Estates

The November, Rivoli sponsored, Monthly Medal was well supported by players of all handicap levels which is echoed in the results, as each division was strongly contested. Terry Waite’s stunning net 60 went uncontested to win Division A, with Christopher Wilmot – his closest rival – carding a net 69, 1 under gross. Wilmot was not alone in going below par gross, as scratch golfers Bilbo Perrot and Craig Forrest also went one under to contest Best Gross and take it to a scorecard playoff which, after comparing their back 9 scores, went to Forrest who took 35 shots for the final 9, while Perrot took 36.
Division B went to Ashok Galgotia after a net 71 stealing it out of the hands of other contestant Costas Verginis who shot an impressive net 73. Close behind the two forerunners was Peter Ibbs who’s 74 was an impressive return to form.

Tania Gelasini commanded 1st place from her nearest threat, Katrin Wilke, after going below par to score a notable net 71; Wilke kept the competition alive with a respectable net 75 however it wasn’t enough to shake Gelasini. The Ladies Division was so competitive that Shankar Majrekar and Shane Callaghan decided to give it a go for the Ladies’ special event on the 11th however, Tania Gelasini was not about to let them get in her way as she took the Nearest to the Pin as well.
