Fisher catches Muntazah Open title at Jebel Ali Golf Resort and Spa

Colin Fisher produced a steady round of Nett 72 to win the annual Muntazah Open by a whisker from Ian Ferrier.

A back nine count back divided the two players who both play of the same handicap of 12.
Ian’s good play to come 2nd helped his team to victory with 84 points, which also included Bill Maclaren, Mark Gagliardi & Damian Murphy. The Nearest to the Pin prize was won by Mike Neil on the 17th Hole while ever accurate Charlie Grant won the Straightest drive competition on the 5th Hole.

Jebel Ali Golf Course, based at the award winning Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa has previously hosted top legendary players including Tiger Woods and Ernie Els. The 9-hole, par 36, championship standard course is situated within the idyllic grounds of the resort. Designed by Peter Harradine and opened in 1998, each hole is uniquely landscaped with exotic trees, shrubs and original desert flora and also features a saltwater lake which comes into play on five holes. The wooden gazebos, views of the Arabian Gulf and peacocks which freely roam the fairways have added a special charm to this course that is a fair and exciting challenge for golfers of all abilities.
