Fee and Williamson stroll the UAE PGA Fourball Championship at Jebel Ali Golf Resort and Spa

The inaugural UAE PGA Fourball Championship was hosted at Jebel Ali Golf Resort and Spa with 18 teams vying for the title of Fourball Champions. The players were met with a humid afternoon which also prompted good scoring through the field in the format, none more so than the home professional Stuart Fee and his amateur partner Matt Williamson. Leading the pair with 5 individual birdies Stuart was ably assisted by his amateur partner to add a further 2 birdies to the card for an unbeatable 7 under par score of 65 and a two stroke victory.
Claiming the runner up spot was another Jebel Ali expert Mark Bull who combined with his partner Shane Madigan with a score of 5 under par 67 1 stroke ahead of a group on 68 who were led, after a card countback, by the pairings of M Duff & M Harradine (3rd) and F Wolfaardt & S Sullivan (4th) to claim the top 4 prizes.

Our sincere thanks go to Jebel Ali Director of Golf James Williams, Stuart McMurdo and their team at Jebel Ali for their generous hospitality and assistance in running the event. The course was presented in impeccable shape and made a fitting venue to welcome this friendly and sociable format to our calendar of events. Thanks also to Mark Bull and Callum Nicoll for their assistance in organising the event for the PGA.

To all the players we appreciate at any time of the year supporting events can prove a challenge and we are grateful to all the players who participated both amateur and professional to make the inaugural event a great success.
The full results of the event are attached above.

On behalf of the UAE PGA we look forward to seeing you all again soon.
