Fawaz Takes the Honors in the Second Rivoli Monthly Medal at Al Badia Golf Club

It was a great start of the month of September as members of Al Badia Golf Club gathered for another round of great golf to win prizes in the Rivoli Monthly Medal. The Overall winner this time was Dr. Nawaf Fawaz with an outstanding Net 69. Dr. Fawaz had a round consisting of 8 pars and a birdie on the 18th hole to take the overall prize by 1 stroke.

The best gross of the day went to John Allen who carded a 78 in the tough conditions. John fought off tough competition from Club Champion Brett Armstrong and many of the Scratch team Players.
Division A Winner was Mark Fitzpatrick with a Net 72. Mark who at one point led all the on course prizes, had a great round with the only blemish on the card coming on the 18th Hole. Division A Runner Up was Brett Armstrong with Net 79. Brett certainly had a game of two halves, struggling on the front 9 with 44 but game back with a steady 38. He also collected fabulous prizes from winning the nearest the pin on 7th and 11th hole sponsored by Mont Blanc.

Division B winner went to Katrin Kamer-Wilke who had net 70. Katrin had a great game with some very good scores and playing the par 3’s in 1 over gross. The only glitch to what would have been an amazing score was an 11 on the 5th hole. Division B runner up was Clive Stanley with Net 73. Clive also had an impressive birdie on the par 3, 11th hole. Longest drive was Mike Beggs on the 13th.
