Engelbrecht and Smith in Monthly Medal Victory at Al Hamra Golf Club

The penultimate Monthly Medal of the season took place on Friday 13th April and with only a few events left all competitors were keen to gain as many order of merit points as possible, and improve on their eclectic scores.

There were four prizes up for grabs today, two gross and two net, along with the top 6 places picking up the vital order of merit p…oints. The Net division winner was Mike Smith who carded a solid one under par score of 71. This turned out to be a one shot winning margin from runner-up Ian Broom who carded a 72.

The Gross division winner and picking up the April Monthly Medals top prize was Rita Engelbrecht carding a score of 84. Again, this was only a one shot winning margin from runner-up Steve Rayment who carded an 85. There were three two’s this week which meant Rick Handsel, Ian Broom and Eric Engelbrecht all picked up 80DHS each.
