Finishing in Second Place was Obaid’s sister Reema Al Heloo with 10 points and rounding off the top-three was Khaled Al Mutawa with 5 point. Al Mutawa also won the Nearest To The Pin on hole four.
After the event the EGF held a special Awards Ceremony for the 2014 achievements accomplished by the National Teams players. Khalid Yousuf received the Silver Medal and an Award of Acknowledgment for his performance at the 2014 Arab Golf Championship where he received the Silver in the Individual Category. Khalid shot 3-over-par for the four-day event.
Lastly the UAE Junior National Team (18-Under) was recognized for their outstanding performance at the 2014 GCC Championship where the team won the Gold. Ahmed Skaik and Abdulla Al Qubasi received certificates signed by H.E. Sheikh Fahim Bin Sultan Al Qasimi and the The General Authority of Youth & Sports Welfare.
H.E. Sheikh Fahim Bin Sultan Al Qasimi attended the event not only to present the prizes to UAE National Players but also played 18-holes with Khalid Yousuf. H.E. Sheikh Fahim had this to say after the event. “It is a great privilege to play with these young men today. You can see that all of their hard work is paying off. Witnessing these players reaching their goals is a great accomplishment. Congratulations to the entire UAE National Team and to everyone that this involved.”
