Emirates Golf Club lady Captain Glynis Hendry leads her team to victory in the Season Opener



The day started with the inaugural Lady Captains tee shots in the high pressure environment on the first tee of the iconic Majlis course. The Lady Captain Glynis Hendry hit a fine drive of 190 Yards outdoing her drive from the Mixed Season opener on Friday. The members guessing her drive distance correctly were Maya Srivastava and S.L. Rim. 

Lady Captain Glynis Hendry, Carolyn Thompson, Chris Dyball and Rosemary Turlik scored a fabulous net 64.7 in the 4 man Texas Scramble format. Their 2 under par gross 70 included birdies on holes 11, 13, 15 and 16.

The Runners up were Ruth Hatton, Viv Caley, Janet Curtis and Jill Muirhead with a net 65.4 which included birdies on holes 13, 15, 16 and 18.

Third place went to Lady Vice Captain Barbara Head, Lorraine Logan, Margret Breen and Fiona Berry with a net 66.2 which included birdies on holes 8, 11 and 16.
