Dynamic quartet prevail in Members & Guests Scramble at Jumeirah Golf Estates Fire Course

Saturday the 13th of August set the stage on the Fire course for the Jumeirah Golf Estates Members & Guests team of 4 Texas Scramble. Each team received 10% of their total combined course handicaps and their only stipulation was that each member had to use 4 tee shots during the round.

The third placed team on the day consisted of David Proctor, Chris Rae, Erled Johnson and Tom Morgan. As a team they returned a score of nett 57.8 following the deduction of their 5.2 handicap from their gross score of 63. The runners-up team was made up of James McGlynn, Colin McDonald, Andy Malcom and Richard Hall. Following a solid performance from each team member they returned a card of 64 gross, 8 under par, which gave them a nett score of 57.1 and outright second place.

The winning team was made up of Paul Sackley, Paul Stump, Simon Howells and Marc Conway. With all four golfers in good form with their clubs the team recorded a gross 62, 10 under par, which consisted of 10 birdies and 8 pars in dynamic team performance. The deduction of their team handicap gave them their winning score of 55 nett and the honour of being crowned the August Members & Guests champions.
