Duggan Clinches Heritage Trophy at Emirates Golf Club

Maura Duggan triumphed in the 36-hole Heritage Trophy Championship by the tightest of margins. Following round one over the Faldo course she trailed leader Viv Caley by three points after a superb 38-point tally by Viv over the Nick Faldo designed course.

The final round over the Majlis witnessed a reversal of fortunes with Caley scoring 35 and Duggan 38 points. Both players were tied on 73 points for the tournament. The better final round count back declared Duggan the winner with Caley having to settle for runners-up position. Hiromi Ohashi carded rounds of 35 and 37 points to take third place on 72 points.

Also in the prizes was Ashley Anderson for her 42 points during the final round over the Majlis with Barbara Head claiming best round one tally with 36 points. Over the 36-hole event Sandra Broedelet won the prize for most improved player having scored 12 more points over the Majlis.
