Dubai Golf Summer Series fixture 2 results at the Emirates Golf Club Faldo course

The Dubai Golf Summer Series supported by Interem continued this week with the second fixture taking place over the floodlit Faldo course.

A good turn out of 50 players competed in a 6pm shotgun start with familiar names from fixture one at the top of the leaderboard. Stephen Reid, last months champion, carded a gross 73 and 36-point tally giving him best gross and runners-up position. Reid held the clubhouse lead for some time but he was out done by Maajid Mushtaq Madni from the Emirates Golf Federation who signed for a 3-under par score of 39 points. The highlights of his round were birdies on the 523-yard 5th and 489-yard 10th holes.

Michael Robson, also from the Emirates Golf Federation, followed his 36 point total in June with a solid 35 points to give him third place. All prizes were sponsored by Ecco and also in the mix were Eric Koeman for his gross 79 and Shloka Desai was top female with 30 points.
The nearest the pin winners, Eric Koeman and Joyal Valan both went home with Ecco golf bags for their accuracy on the 8th and 12th respectively.
