Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club April Ladies Monthly Strokeplay
Tuesday the 17th April 2012 saw Dubai Creek host its monthly Ladies stroke play event sponsored by the Park Hyatt.
As always the ladies were ready for the competition and early morning tee times meant conditions were perfect for some low scoring. It was Harini White who took full advantage of the unusually calm conditions shooting a superb net 70 score to win by 2 shots. Y. Inoue, a regular contender took 2nd place after finishing with a pair of unfortunate triple bogeys on holes 17 and 18 to post a net score of 72. Just one behind Inoue was Paula Savage who made a net score 73 to take third spot.
Paula Savage was also successful on the par-3 14th, with a fantastic shot to win the nearest the pin competition. Mego Han, the newly appointed Dubai Creek Ladies Captain, was successful with her superb tee shot on the par-4 12th finding the fairway and winning the longest drive competition.
Mego Han and Dubai Creek Golf Professional Craig Waddell were on hand to present the winners with their prizes which were all kindly donated by the Park Hyatt.
The ladies will be hoping to keep their fine run of form going into the stableford event on Tuesday 24th April. They will then face a very tough test competing in the ‘May-Day 3 Clubs and a Putter’ event being held on May 1st 2012.
