Dubai Creek Crowned 2013-2014 UAE Invitational Scratch Golf League Champions
Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club beat The Els Club by 3 ½ – ½ in the second leg of the final to add to their 4-0 first leg lead to take the 2013 – 2014 UAE Invitational Scratch Golf League title at The Els Club last Saturday.
The newly crowned champions Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club won the title for the first time in the 8 year history of the event.
Bob Driver League Co-ordinator said after the results announcement, ‘Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club have been the outstanding team this season in the league. Their record speaks for itself with 4 wins and a draw as well as a walkover loss in the divisional qualifiers before a dominant win over Yas Links in the semi-finals and an even more emphatic victory in the final. They should be congratulated on their victory and it is exciting to welcome a new name on the trophy.’
