Doha Golf Club Qaig Golf day tournament winners
Dave Moreland, Kwan Ho Park, Alan McFadden and Derek O’Brien beat 22 teams to emerge victorious in the Qatar Al Attiyah International Group Golf Tournament with a score of 57 nett.
Despite the mercury reaching temperatures, the day saw a very close competition. The team of Peter Bailey, Pete Hemingway, Alan Crozier and Chris Garvey took second place with 58 Nett on countback. And third place went to Darren Shaw, Paul Atherton, Fred Pritchard and Roy Atherton with 58 Nett.
In the Ladies division, Sue Skinner claimed the prize for nearest the pin on hole number 8 and Helen Pritchard outdrove the other ladies on hole number 14.
During player registration mulligan’s were sold, and with this latest contribution takes the donation to £25,000 which was generously donated in the name of Danielle MacDonald to the Alder Hey Children’s Foundation in Liverpool, England.
The evening’s proceedings concluded with a special performance of live Irish entertainment by legendary Brian Brody.
