Defending Champions Re capture the Al Badia Trophy

The Al Badia Trophy, one of the Club’s major events of the season saw the defending champions reclaim their names on the prestigious honours board and took possession of the striking ‘Ship’ trophy.

Forming the winning four player team following the Texas Scramble format were Jon Cimino, Lynn Cimino, Bill Taylor and Nick Groves.  The phenomenal play included an abundance of birdies with five on the front nine, five on the back nine and an even further impressive eagle on the 8th hole for a net 56.5.  

Marginally behind in the runner-up position included John Cable, Andy Carter, Chris Vasey and Richard Barber with a net score of 58.6.  The team was unfailing in their efforts on the front and back nine with scores of 34-34 gaining 3 birdies on each side.

Rounding off the winner’s circle in third position was the team of Iain Milligan, Mira Milligan, Les Reis and Giles McDevitt with their score of net 60.3.
