Dearie Stands Out in the First Rivoli Monthly Medal at Al Badia Golf Club

Al Badia Golf Club is honored to announce their partnership with Rivoli group who will be sponsoring Al Badia Golf Club Monthly Medals, which commenced August 5. This is a fantastic partnership that will see competition winners receive great prizes from Rivoli. In addition, Mont Blanc will also be sponsoring ‘Hole in One’s’on the 7th and 11th holes.

The overall winner of the first ever Rivoli Sponsored Monthly Medal at Al Badia Golf Club was Alan Dearie. Dearie had a steady golf including 6 gross pars on his card. He played fabulous golf in tough conditions with some of the competition not even completing their rounds due to the extreme heat. His only blemish on the day came at the par 4 17th hole where he scored an 8.
Dearie was not the only player who had a challenging round on the day, Al Badia Club Champion Brett Armstrong was 2 under par standing on the 16th, but faltered towards the end for a gross 77, he still managed to win the best gross score.  

The course was in fine condition given the extreme heat at present and this showed with some fantastic scoring. Division A winner was John Allen who shot a gross 79 with a net score of 72. Allen also scooped the nearest the pin prize on hole 11 with a fantastic shot that was only a few feet from the hole sponsored by Mont Blanc. Division A Runner was Mark Fitzpatrick who recently came back from vacation and straight back into the swing. Division B winner was H.S. Park with a gross 98 and net score of 72. Runner-up in division B was Sonny Gouri with net 75.

Brett Armstrong had a double delight on the day after winning the best gross. He also picked up the nearest the pin on hole #7. The longest drive was won by Mark Fitzpatrick with a super hit down the par 5 18th finishing hole.
