Curran and Forrest Tame the Jumeirah Fire Course

The July monthly medal witnessed 41 participants tee off on the Jumeirah Fire Golf course to challenge for the honours and an opportunity to qualify for the Medal Finals.

On a sun soaked motionless day, Justin Curran had a sensational round on the Fire course with all departments of his game in full flow to record an impressive net 67. An eagle on the par five eighteenth secured his first golfing trophy and certainly not his last. A respectable score of net 68 left JGE member Nick Lloyd with the runner up position whilst late afternoon finisher, Johnathan Hall was awarded third place, scoring a net 69.

Craig Forrest was standing on the fourth tee at two over par wondering what the day had in store, five birdies over the closing fourteen holes gave him the answer of a gross 69 and taking the gross score honours’ for the July members medal, a great achievement and very well deserved.
