Coral Beach Resort Midweek Stableford Madness at Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club

The Coral Beach Hotel and Resort’s Midweek Madness competition was played once again at Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club this week. With two competitions a month sponsored by the UAE based resort, competitors either play using the par/bogey format or in this weeks case stableford points.

The temperatures were soaring even late into the evening, which is beginning to make scoring a lot more difficult for the players as compared to previous months. Best to cope with the conditions was young golfer Azamrul Famajaya who returned an impressive four under 22 points for the 9 holes. Famajaya’s score included two gross birdies on holes three and the tough par four fifth. Finishing behind Famajaya with a score of 20 points was Michael Connolly, who had an extremely steady round unfortunately finishing with a one pointer on the last hole. Third and fourth spot were keenly contested as there were five golfers who all tied on 18 points. However Korean golfer J.S Park took third beating Abdul Moiz Khan into fourth on a scorecard countback, which actually came down to their final hole played.

We once again thank all the competitors, who are still supporting the events even as the temperatures soar, but also Coral Beach Hotels & Resort for their overwhelming support as always.
